Boring

Just a word search. Concept is good but needs more interactive game play and scenes. Could be converted to a FB type hidden word/picture game like Hidden Chronicles or Crime Investigation. Good luck on future game development but not interested in next chapter if its the same as this, especially if I have to pay for it.

Confusing at first, but interesting.

Difficult to figure out how to play this, but interesting once you start to get the hang of it. The word search mini-games can get tiresome, though.

falls short of the mark

I think I get what theyre going for; I appreciate the narrative-driven concept. I do NOT like all the word searches (that made me want to stop the game entirely). The music and artwork are excellent. How they could improve: - eliminate word search; just give us what each character has to say…but perhaps each character would have 5-6 different things to say about each other character. putting in some "red herrings" and misleading dialogue would be great here. - the dream sequences, revealing parts of each painting is a neat concept. i think the paintings themselves are supposed to help you figure out the plot / killer…but you cant see the whole painting or study them so that falls short -the "cups of coffee" / energy to interview characters is much too short per day to be satisfying - if we were to "investigate" each crime scene visually - that would be great as well! This game has potential but if the next stories are the same game play-wise, Im not interested.

Intriguing

I think the game is well composed! The biographies are interesting, the pictures are grand, and the clues from the word searches are clever. The word searches themselves are a bit tedious, but it is admirable to play a game that makes use of th players brain rather than a simplistic interest in shooting or watching cartoons.

Waste of Time

I reviewed this before and there were so many bug issues causing the game to crash. Those seem to be worked out, but this game hasnt gotten better. How disappointing. Its frustrating to know who did it, and not be able to solve it cause the people you need to question wont answer the questions. I am deleting this off my computer.

Not a good mystery game

This is basically a word search game, its boring and monotonous. There are false clues everywhere and very little actual evidence to help find the real killer. I do not recommend. F+

fun game for passing time :)

thought it was really fun!

Not my style

I wanted something really interactive and to exercise my brain. This game is pretty monotonous and uneventful. Theres no change of scenery, no voices. Mostly just a wordsearch/puzzle game if you can believe it. Maybe others enjoy it, but it is not for me.

headache in a game

this game really makes you think ….i loved it

Needs Editing

Even though this is free, the designers should have taken care to spell things correctly and use proper grammar. I prefer more interaction in games of this nature and while I love word games, this should be listed as a word game and not a brain teaser. Given the lack of editing, I am not inclined to waste my money purchasing the other editions.

Another episode thats free

I really liked this game but all the puzzles to find out stuff were just annoying. Also, it would be really great if they could make another episode thats free!

Whaaaaa

Whos the killer?? Well guess what I was looking for the "Confess that I am the killer just to finish the game" button.

Entertaining

I enjoyed the game, but I look at things for what they are, not what I think they ought to be, and for what this is, it was entertaining. There was a mystery to solve; you had to put pieces together; I followed the story and it led me to the solution. The only complaints I have is having to interview everyone about a particular person before you can accuse, though it does say that in the instructions; and the word search game did get a little monotonous. Also, I didnt catch what the doves meant. I do have suggestions to make the game more rich: I agree it would be cool to be able to replay and have a different killer each time. Though that would require much more work to create six more gameplaying experiences, complete with artwork, backstory and dialogue. It may not be feasible in this format or package, but I do think you have the opportunity here with a strong idea and characters. Adding two or three different mini-games to earn coffee would be great to rotate through. I am considering buying the next episode, which I rarely do with such mystery games. Thanks

great, I hope the rest are this good!

The story came to an amazing end, and it was not simple at all! (this may make me sound bad, but in the end, the only reason i found out who it was was from thinking of each picture of the dreams) Great app!

Really cool!

I loved this game. The word unscrambling was annoying but its tolerable if you really get into the game. Loved the art, the music, and it was a fun game to play if youre into detective games and all. Cant wait to try the next episode :D

This game was not worth my time

I had this figured out at the beginning but you have to go through a long process in talking to everybody to finally get to accuse/arrest your suspects. The word search was dumb and almost made me close the game all together. The picture scramble was dumb as well. I really did not enjoy this game at all.

Great Game

I think it is an excellent game; however, maybe some different mini games instead of just the word scramble, would add some diversity to the overall game play. The word search gets kindof long. Other than that, amazing game, loved it!!

Word Search with no mystery….. Nice graphics, good concept

Oh my Lord there was a word search at every turn. It takes away from the flow of the game and quite frankly are not very difficult. They were tedious indeed and never proved worth my time. If there was some payout, a ticking clock, something interesting or a challenge that was ramping up I could see the point. As it is, I thought the mystery itself would have been engaging, but there was no interaction, no actualy clues to find, and at the end, the only work that was related to solving the crime was the blurry paintings. The word searches were a gimmick to buy time. It made me actually want to do a picture search, just to break the monotony, and those of us who are truly looking for a "mystery/investigation game" know where I am coming from. Its a good start, interesting characters and such. However, there isnt much at stake and the activities are too similar. Also, the explanations of the game play could be more clear. And the coffee? What was that all about? The whole "awake" thing was odd too. It is also good to give the player an avatar or a character, that was missing.

Awesome

At first it was a little hard, and I figured it out with my friends, great gamee to play with 1-2 friends

Interesting

Despite reviews to the contrary I found that this game kept my attention. Though not an action game the logic mini games can become addictive if you like It can be confusing the first time around however because the directions arent as thorough as Id wish (for instance a suspect isnt necessarily innocent just because he/she has is alibied by another suspect). At first all the clues seem random but once Id been through episode 1 and lost, I did it over and the story became clearer. Dont expect the clues to be spelled out--they are somewhat vague but if you look for contradictions in the suspects stories/alibis you can begin to piece together the motive-murder-story.
