Who Is The Killer (Episode One) App Reviews

It’s an interesting idea, but the words games are too long and repetitive. I like looking for objects in the dreams, though. The story is easy to piece together, but it works because the game is very short. The biggest problem is that sometimes characters talk about a dead person as though they were still alive, and sometimes they talk about a live person as though they were already dead (which, pardon the pun, is a dead giveaway). They could have made the game longer and more fun if it started with all the characters alive, and if gaining someone’s trust required solving some other type of puzzle.

I found the way that you converse with other characters to be very frustrating and slow. You are told what word to look for and you find the scrambled version in a cloud of scrambled words. Perhaps this is fun for some but I wanted to solve the puzzle of who the murderer was, not look for words.

I like the setup of the game. Its good that you cant accuse a suspect right away. I like that you have to talk to people and investigate before you can make progress. What I dont like is the style of puzzles used to progress the game. When you talk to a person you have to find a specific word floating on the screen among half a dozen other words. When asking for an alibi or a secret you have to match the letters you are given to the various options of other letters to make up a word. This isnt bad for a one time puzzle, but this game desperately needs a different type of puzzle esspecially if you are going to be doing the same puzzle again and again. Overall, it wasnt a bad game but Im glad it was free because I would have been very unhappy if Id paid for it.

Such a beautiful game I really enjoyed playing it! I cannot wait for episode 2. But I had a little problem with one part in the word games, I could not click the last word because it freezed when it came to the last word. I closed the game and opened it again many times but it kept happening so i skipped that part. By the way I REALLY liked that the game is free please make the other episodes free too because most games are paid and expensive but this game is not. Thats why more people can download this beautiful game.

I think the game is ok but it can be better, it should be better. It has to be a lot more detailed for each person and maybe a special notebook of players can be added at one side to keep the track of evidences. Also different puzzles can be added for discussions instead of putting words in the right order. Also I should mention a problem, when I came to discuss the Colonel with the Judge, the game freezed at the last one "often". Ive tried many times but I couldnt manage then skipped it at the end. Lastly, I would like to play next episodes as well, I wish they will be better than the first one.

The game is itersting! Good graphic design and idea, but I couldt win not matter how I much I try to accuse the person!? Any ideas?? Because it was saif that if I accuse somebody and I am right, than I qin the game, but if not and everyone dies I loose. So until the end of game I couldnt accuse anybody, cuz it wont let me!? So whats the point of playing!?

Ive been wating a long time for a game like this… I feel as a real detective! it does crash but you can restart the game and skip those parts. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Its wonderful and its free!

The game crashes the first day, when I talk with the doctor...

It crashes when you click on the word "often.", on the first interview with the Colonel. Tried 3 times, always the same result. I had 7 points of logic - whats the point in this game if you cant play???

I really enjoyed it, theres atmosphere, suggestive themes, nice characters. I mean, ive seen solid bases for a brilliant future. The good ideas as the cups of coffee and the pictures are really giving a soul to this game. As a first episode is definitely enjoyable, even if can be integrated with some other investigative stuff which makes you more a detective than a words player. Would be nice to have a scheme or a plan on the side for instance, where you keep all the evidences and the important pieces of the investigation puzzle, just to stay there with the story. Im looking forward to the next episode. Well done.

Opens up a panda with "Pixonic" logo, then a window opens saying it cant open the application for whatever reason, and it crashes. Disapointed. I was looking forward to figuring out who done it.

This game was fun and made you think. Not only were there word games but also find the puzzle games. And of course… who done it? Great game

This game was ok. Average for a starter and below average if you have played this sort of thing before. Dont expect a challenge or something that keeps you wanting to play for more than an hour or so. The grammar and spelling are off and sometimes makes it difficult to clearly understand instructions. Very one-dimensional as far as getting clues and putting them to use. You cant accuse anyone (even if you are certain they are the killer) without solving relatively pointless puzzles and talking to guests that provide information that is neither helpful nor makes you reconsider your reasoning. The graphics are nice. After I played through once, I was unable to open it again. I received the same error message mentioned in a previous comment. Even after uninstalling and re-installing I was unable to play it again to see if there were different outcomes based on the order in which I spoke with the characters. The next version (episode 2) is now available and costs $1.99. If it were free, I might give it a go to see if there are any improvements over the first one, but I definitely wouldnt pay for it. 3 stars because I cant rate it a 2 1/2. Needs work and the error needs to be taken care of.

This is a fun game, but since the game is based on finding clues by piecing sentences together from a mash-up of words, its important that the words and sentences be spelled correctly and make sense grammatically. Other than that, loved the game!

If I wanted a word search I would download a word search.

when are you going to release a new episode?

The sonstant word searches get annoying. its a fun game but when you constantly have to keep unscrambeling words it gets really boring. The art and everything else is foniminal and the game has very good structure, but the replayabilty isnt very good. instead i would think to make it regenerating stories and new outcomes! that would make the game replayable! Other than that its a fun game to play!

Well I enjoyed the game to be honest but needs more interactive elements than this. Some animations, voiceover, suddenly a scray sound fx in a dark screen or the picture of dead people so that we can actually investigate the scene (Not a game designer but giving ideas…) … However totally got me and I played the game until I found the murderer. I think Coffee idea is really cool but game definetily needs more coffees per turn :D Looking forward to play the 2nd episode.
